Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). For major failures with the service, you are entitled to a refund or compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. For non-major failures, we reserve the right to choose to re-supply the service or pay for the cost of re-supply. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify your statutory rights under the ACL.

 

3. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim, loss, or damage arising out of or in connection with the supply of our services is limited to the total fees paid by you for the specific service from which the claim arises. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use, or damage to business reputation.

4. Quotations and Pricing

 

All quotations are based on an assessment of the vehicle's condition at the time of quotation. We reserve the right to amend the price if the vehicle is presented in a condition that is significantly different from that upon which the quotation was based (e.g., excessive soiling, pet hair, industrial fallout). Any changes to the price will be communicated to you for approval before additional work commences.

5. Service Outcomes

 

We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality car detailing services. However, the final outcome of any service is dependent on the age, condition, and pre-existing defects of the vehicle. We do not guarantee the complete removal of all scratches, swirls, stains, odours, or other imperfections. Our goal is to achieve the best possible result within the limitations of the vehicle's condition.

6. Customer Responsibilities and Acknowledgements

 

By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Removal of Personal Property: You are responsible for removing all personal belongings, valuables, and fragile items from your vehicle prior to your appointment. Detaileur accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss of or damage to items left inside the vehicle.

  • Pre-Existing Damage: You agree to inform us of any pre-existing damage, defects, known sensitivities, or mechanical/electrical issues on your vehicle prior to service commencement. We will conduct a pre-service inspection to note any visible damage. We are not liable for the repair of pre-existing conditions or for damage that may be revealed during the detailing process, such as poor-quality previous paint repairs.

  • Vehicle Condition: You acknowledge that aged, worn, or degraded vehicle components (including paint, clear coat, plastic trim, rubber seals, and interior surfaces) may respond unpredictably to cleaning and detailing processes. We are not liable for damage arising from the inherent weakness or failure of such components.

  • Child Safety Seats: For the purposes of interior cleaning, we may need to remove child safety seats. We will NOT re-install them. The safe and correct re-installation of child safety seats in accordance with manufacturer specifications is your sole and non-delegable responsibility.

  • Engine Bay Cleaning: Cleaning of the engine bay is undertaken at your own risk. While we take all due care, we are not liable for any malfunction of electronic or mechanical components arising from this process.​

 

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

 

Please refer to our Cancellation Policy, available on our website, for terms relating to cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. A cancellation fee may apply if insufficient notice is provided.
